
Peter Cross is a freelance curator and writer living and working in Berlin and London. Along with Dr. Jean Paul Martinon, he was the co-founder and Director of the Rear Window Trust 1990-97, an independent contemporary art organization focusing on critical interventions outside the gallery. From 1998-2000, he was the Director of Gasworks Gallery and also curated the North London Link project at Camden Arts Centre. In 2007, after several years at the Arts Council, he moved to Berlin, where he is working on a PhD with Professor Beatrice von Bismarck at the Hochschule für Grafik und Buchkunst, Leipzig. Current projects include Journeys With No Return, Istanbul, London, Berlin, and Goodbye London, a cross-disciplinary project about art and politics in London 1971-79 for the Neue Gesellschaft für bildenede Kunst, Berlin 2010.
