The London exhibition of Journeys with No Return will be at the A Foundation, London between 18th February and 14th March 2010. The A Foundation, London is in the heart of London's East End. The exhibition will feature 12 artists:
The London exhibition is the largest of the three exhibitions and its location in the East End next to the largest Turkish communities in Hackney and Haringey links to the area's history of accommodating and giving a home to waves of migrants over the centuries. Young artists from mixed Turkish and German backgrounds, Nevin Aladag, Asli Sungu and Nasan Tur, well known both in Germany and Turkey, will be relatively new to London audiences. Asli Sungu will be presenting new work made during her Journeys With No Return London residency with The Delfina Foundation. Work made during Istanbul artist residencies in 2009 will be presented by Kiran Kaur Brar and Melanie Manchot. New works by Olaf Nicolai and Adam Chodzko will be shown in London for the first time. Alongside the exhibition a conference is taking place at the Goethe Institut, London on 19th February.
